Mexico Day Charters
Our Boat: the Little Sister
Little Sister is a professionally outfitted and equipped 32' Rampage Sportfisher that is US Coast Guard 5 Star Safety Rated. She has a large cockpit, mid-range tower, a private head, all electronics, and she exceeds all required safety equipment. She is equipped with Rupp outriggers and decked out with both Shimano and Penn bluewater gear and recently re-powered with a set of brand new 315 hp Cummins.
San Jose del Cabo
Throughout the months of December through March, the Little Sister resides in the new marina "Marina Los Cabos" is San Jose del Cabo, just minutes from the International Airport. During this winter season, our focus is on live bait fishing on and near the seamounts and banks for Striped Marlin, Wahoo, small-medium-large... and EXTRA large yellowfin tuna, and dorado, as well as inshore fishing for roosterfish, snapper, sierra, cabrilla and other local species. The waters off San Jose are just plain loaded with great fish, promising some real rod-bending fun!
Be sure to bring a lunch or snack and drinks, however please do not bring glass bottles as they have a tendency to lose their shape when they hit the hard floors. PFISH will provide all professional tackle and filet any fish that you catch. You will be required to have a Mexican fishing permit, licenses can be obtained on-line or in San Jose.
The crew of will work hard to ensure a safe, fun and productive day for you. At the end of the day they will appreciate your gratuities for their hard work. We look forward to your trip with us!

La Paz
Our trip begins at the safest and most beautiful marina in La Paz, Marina Costa Baja, Slip L-1. Departing at 7 am, unless other arrangements are made, we travel approximately 15 minutes to Pichilingue to purchase live bait, and then we cruise to the fishing grounds. The run to the fishing grounds can take between 30 and 90 minutes depending on the time of year and fish species targeted. This is a great time to sit back, relax, and enjoy the beauty of the Sea of Cortez.
During the high season, from mid-April through November, warm to hot air temperatures toast up the waters to the mid and upper 80's. This is the ideal conditions for fishing Dorado (mahi-mahi), marlin, yellowfin tuna, and various other species. Travel time to the fishing grounds is generally short during this season as large schools of dorado hold in the "Canal" jusr 8 miles out of the Marina.
The winter season brings cooler water temperatures and is ideal for fishing the structures and underwater seamounts between 20-32 miles from the marina. These structures provide great fishing for many fish species including yellowtail, pargo (snapper), Cabrillo (seabass), roosterfish, and sierra (Spanish mackerel). Smaller Dorado (mahi-mahi) known as schoolies are also targeted in the winter season. Whichever season you choose to come, we will take you to the best fishing La Paz and Baja Sur has to offer.
Be sure to bring a lunch or snack and drinks however, please do not bring glass bottles as they have a tendency to lose their shape when they hit the hard floors. Be prepared to be out between 8 and 10 hours typically.

our Mexico has been (and still is) spectacular this year. The water has stayed warm and the fish friendly all season. Yellowtail are thick right now, and the dorado are showing already :-)

The New Year brings us good news, the striped marlin are here and they're hungry. Over the Christmas holidays a nice mix of marlin, dorado and wahoo visited Little Sister and all but the marlin made appearances with their takers in either local restaurants or northbound coolers. Water temps are holding in the upper 60's near San Jose and mid 70's further west. There are still a few small holes in the Spring calendar, give us a call and we'll fill 'em up.
